Family Court Services
Family Court Services provides the County of El Paso Family District Courts social services. Court ordered social services help families resolve family law disputes out of the court room. Social Studies along with recommendations to the court have been designed to protect the best interest of children.
Early Intervention and Access Facilitation Project
Grant funded by the Office of the Texas Attorney General, the DRO is able to provide legal and social work services to families by encouraging collaborative parenting. The project helps parents share parenting responsibilities through education, counseling, and other activities in an effort to create healthy successful children of parents who are separated.
The following is a list of services provided by the project:
• Court ordered education
• Cooperative parenting seminar
• Access facilitation sessions
• Mediated access and possession services
• Enforcement of court orders
Forming Families Training Program
Through early intervention and facilitation the DRO addresses the needs of young high school enrolled parents and the many issues that confront them in the cooperative parenting of their children. The program provides high school enrolled parents with classes that encourage compliance and collaborative parenting between teen aged parents.
