Differences between people within any giving nation or culture are much greater than differences between groups. Education, social standing, religion, personality, belief structure, past experience, affection shown in the home, and countless other factors will affect human behavior and culture.

Second Parent Academy Graduates!

Parents graduated from the second Mental Heath Academy of the year, with a record registration number.
Amongst them, five parents that are actively involved with BCMHC completed the eight week session.
The next Parent Academy focused on Mental Health is planned to start mid February 2009.

THANKSGIVING CELEBRATION AT THE FIREHOUSE

The staff from Border Children's Mental Health Collaborative and guests celebrated Thanksgiving at The Firehouse with several youth enrolled in the program and their families. Turkeys and foodbaskets were distributed to needy families.

A million thanks to our voulunteer youth from Hanks High School for a job well done!!

Golf Tournament: A Success!!

UBH had a tremendous success with its first Golf Tournament benefiting BCMHC and with special guest Mr. Herschel Walker.
It was a beautiful day to play golf, and golf they did play. Several players t'ed off on a sunny Friday morning to compete in this event, while Mr. Walker and several dignataries from the county of El Paso including Judge Anthony Cobos, Commissioners Dan haggerty and Veronica Escobar, signed authographs on Footballs and posters.
