Crime Stoppers “Crime of the Week”
About 7:45 A.M. on Sunday, April 14, 2013, Sheriff’s Deputies were dispatched to Great American Land & Cattle Company at 600 Valley Chile Road in Vinton due to a burglar alarm being set off. When they arrived they found that the front door had been forcefully opened. Inside, they discovered that the alarm system had been ripped off the wall and several areas had been ransacked: including the hostess area, the main office and the bar area. Damages to the restaurant are estimated at approximately $2,000.
Surveillance video shows an older model Nissan Pathfinder or Isuzu Rodeo arrive at the front entrance about 7:00 A.M. Occupied by two people. The video also shows the vehicle to have paper plates and was missing its spare tire on the rear door as it moves out of camera sight. One suspect enters the building, wearing a hooded sweatshirt with the word PINK on the front. The suspect left shoe impressions inside and outside the building, and along a nearby arroyo, where investigators believe the suspect met up with the driver of the vehicle.
