El Paso County Texas-This afternoon, on 07-26-12, at approximately 1:10 PM, Sheriff’s Deputies were dispatched to 15241 Cactus Flower, El Paso County, TX, in reference to a structure fire. Deputies arrived to find the residence engulfed in flames and evacuated three residents from the home to include neighbors east and west of the engulfed home. Volunteer Firefighters from Montana Vista Fire Department were summoned to the scene.
A preliminary investigation revealed the cause of the fire was possibly electrical. A Fire Marshal was also summoned to the scene to confirm the cause. Deputies learned the owner of the residence was not insured for the home which received extensive damage estimated at $30,000, displacing eight persons. Red Cross Services will be providing aid to those displaced. Neighbors were able to return to their homes. No injuries were reported to include no other property damage other than the said residence.
