TRAFFIC STOP BY STRIKE TEAM RESULTS IN (2) ARRESTS

ELPASO COUNTY TEXAS-On 07/19/2012 Deputies with the El Paso County Sheriff’s Office Strike Team attempted a traffic stop on a vehicle at the 8800 block of North Loop, El Paso Texas. After the driver pulled over, two subjects exited the vehicle with the driver fleeing the scene at a rate of speed with its lights off westbound on North Loop. A brief pursuit ensued with Deputies finding the vehicle at the 8100 block of Harrier, El Paso, TX.

The driver of the vehicle (van), identified as 22 year old Daniel Sanchez, along with an additional subject, 22 year old Frank Nava, were taken into custody at a residence on the 8100 block of Harrier. Sanchez and Nava were charged with Possession of Marijuana u/2 ounces with Sanchez also charged with Evading Arrest with a Vehicle.  Sanchez also had several outstanding Sheriff’s Office warrants.  Strike Team Deputies continue to investigate with additional arrests pending.
