Officers respond to an aggravated assault call and upon arrival find a man critically injured by stab wounds, who died a short time later, making this the
Crime Stoppers “Crime of the Week.”
Just before 7:00 P.M. on Wednesday, May 16th, 2012, officers from the Police Department’s Northeast Regional Command were called to the 11000 block of Rockdale in reference to an aggravated assault that had just occurred. When they arrived, a witness told them that the victim had asked for help and then walked into a garage and closed the door. When officers entered the home they found the victim face down with stab wounds. He was rushed to a hospital but died a short time later.
The victim was 30-year-old .Lucostal Leon Holley. Investigators from the Crimes Against Persons unit determined that the victim was seen talking to two men in front of a nearby home. All three were later seen near the home where the victim was found, with the two suspects holding the victim against a fence. They are described only as heavyset black men.
