The El Paso County Sheriff’s Office SEX OFFENDER REGISTRATION & TRACKING UNIT(S.O.R.T) and Texas Department of Public Safety (TDPS) Detectives arrested FUGITIVE/LARRY DOUGLAS NYE after a routine warrants check of sex offenders residing at the half-way house(s) located at 1650 and 1700 Horizon Blvd., El Paso County Texas. NYE who is a sexual predator with numerous violent sex offenses who returned “WANTED” out the state of Tennessee for a 1991 Probation Violation for the offense of Grand Larceny.
NYE is a registered sex offender with the EPCSO-SORT Unit and is monitored by the TDPS to include the Office of Violent Sex Offender Management. NYE was booked into the El Paso County Detention Facility on June 28, 2012 and is awaiting extradition back to Tennessee to face Grand Larceny charges.
There are a total of 13 civil commitment sexual predators residing at the halfway house with approximately 130 sex offenders currently on parole.
