While the victim was inside a Westside eating establishment an unknown offender enters her pickup, takes her purse and later uses her debit card to make unauthorized purchases, making this the
Crime Stoppers “Crime of the Week.”
At 9:00 P.M. on Saturday, April 28th, 2012, the victim parked in the lot at a strip center at 7500 N. Mesa and went into a business. While there, someone entered her 2006 Maroon Ford F-150 pickup and took her purse which contained important documents and credit and debit cards. The victim later discovered that her debit card had been used at a nearby gasoline station and that other cards had been used at several stores in the Outlet Mall.
As seen on surveillance video at a mall store, the suspect appears to be a white or Hispanic man, about 30 years of age, medium height and build, wearing a Panama type hat, black sunglasses, a grey hoodie, dark pants, and a black backpack. It is unknown what vehicle he may have had.
