UPPER VALLEY-SHERIFF’S DEPUTIES ARREST (4) FOR ENGAGING IN ORGANIZED CRIMINAL ACTIVITY-AGGRAVATED ASSAULT

NEWS RELEASE

El Paso Texas- On 06-06-12 at approximately 9:25 PM, Sheriff’s Deputies  were dispatched to the 800 block of Vinton Ave, Canutillo, TX in reference to subjects disturbing. When Deputies arrived they found (2) male subjects, identified as Angel Avedencian and Epifanio Garcia, on the property.

Sheriff’s Deputies also saw a Maroon Chrysler 300, with NM plates, occupied with subjects. Further investigation revealed the subjects in the Chrysler were being used as “look-outs”. The occupants were identified as Merlinda Dominguez and Daniel Ramirez. The vehicle was parked west of the targeted residence on Vinton Ave. and all (4) subjects were detained. According to the VICTIM one of the subjects held a pen to the VICTIM’S throat while another subject was seen with an aluminum bat. The subjects also  had demanded $5000, a “quota”, to be paid in the next two weeks. The 4 subjects were charged with Engaging in Organized Criminal Activity.

In addition, subjects Dominguez and Ramirez were also charged with POM U/ 2 oz.  The four subjects were subsequently booked into the EPCDF.
