DEPUTIES TAKE 3 INTO CUSTODY AFTER TRACKING SHOE IMPRESSIONS LINKED TO TWO BURGLARIES

EL PASO COUNTY TEXAS-On 04-30-2012 at approximately 7:30 am a Sheriff’s Deputy was dispatched to 220 Flor Del Rio (Dollar Plus Store),Tornillo, TX, in reference to a burglary of building. A preliminary investigation revealed that entry/exit was made through the front window of the business. Deputies also discovered distinctive shoe impressions in the area and recognized them to be the same shoe impressions seen in a previous burglary that was reported during the graveyard shift at the 200 block of Florinda, Tornillo,TX.
Deputies tracked the shoe impressions which lead them to the 200 block of O.T. Smith, one half mile north of the business. Deputies made contact with a subject at a residence who identified himself as Graham Wright. Stolen property from the business was discovered at this location. As Deputies continued their investigation, information also lead Deputies to other subjects involved, Gustavo Varela and a 16 year old juvenile. Subject/Valera was taken into custody at his residence at the 18600 block of Alameda Ave. in Tornillo and the Juvenile at the 18900 block of Cielo also in Tornillo. All subjects were charged with EIOCA/BURGLARY OF BUILDING. The Juvenile was referred to the Juvenile Detention Facility(JPD).
