SUSPECT GETS “TASED” AFTER ASSAULTING SHERIFF’S DEPUTIES

EL PASO COUNTY, TEXAS- On 01-18-2012 at about 1:30 a.m., Sheriff’s Deputies working an off duty assignment under official capacity at the Spice Club, located at 2720 N. Mesa El Paso, Texas, noticed a male suspect throwing punches attempting to strike several patrons from the club, who were also causing a disturbance. Deputies attempted to disperse the crowd when the male suspect punched one of the Deputies in the face. The Deputy began to struggle with the combative suspect who was consequently tased by the Deputy. The suspect was then placed under arrest for Assault on A Public Servant. The suspect was identified as DAVID NAJERA (21).
