UPPER VALLEY RESIDENT ARRESTED FOR DEADLY CONDUCT

EL PASO, TX- On Friday, 09-23-2011 at approximately 9:45 PM Sheriff Deputies were dispatched to the 6700 Block of Westside Dr., El Paso County Texas, in reference to shots fired. Several Deputies working an off duty at Grace Gardens Hall also heard shots fired and immediately responded towards the area. Deputies took cover and went to the residence located at the 6800 block of Westside Dr.
Upon arrival, the OFFENDER was seen pointing the weapon in the direction of the Hall, an approximate 200 yards north of the Hall. The OFFENDER and two other subjects at the residence appeared to be drinking and claimed to be shooting at clay targets.
According to a witness, multiple gun shots were heard near the Hall and the OFFENDER was seen pointing the weapon towards the direction of Grace Gardens Hall. No one was injured.
The OFFENDER was placed under arrest for Deadly Conduct and the shot gun was recovered (Browning 20 gauge shotgun). The OFFENDER was booked into the El Paso County Detention Facility with a bond of $2,500.00.
The OFFENDER was identified as Matthew Blaugrund (42).
