EL PASO, TX- On July 17th, 2011 at about 8:00 am Wanted Felon Joe Ivan Alarcon was taken into custody at the Ysleta Port of Entry El Paso, TX. Alarcon has been charged with Capital Murder and two counts of engaging in organized criminal activity (Aggravated Assault). Alarcon’s charges stem from the 2009 double Homicide of Jose and Jesus Vargas at the A&M bar in Socorro, Texas. Alarcon entered the United States on foot from Mexico, a finger print scan was conducted by Customs and Border Protection Officers upon entry, which confirmed his identity. Alarcon was turned over to the El Paso County Sheriff’s Office and was booked into the El Paso County Detention Facility.
Joe Ivan Alarcon was featured on Manhunt Monday Most Wanted fugitive on May 23, 2011 making him the the 83rd fugitive captured out of 131 featured fugitives. Alarcon was also previously featured on February 23, 2011 on Manhunt Special Edition.
