SEATBELT ENFORCEMENT 
EL PASO, TX- Reminder to the community – the “Click it or Ticket” SEATBELT ENFORCEMENT campaign continues thru the memorial Day holiday until June 5, 2011 - The purpose of this push is to maximize the visibility of enforcement to the public focusing on drivers not wearing their seatbelts during the peak of the upcoming holiday traffic.
GOALS & STRATEGIES:
-
To increase effective enforcement and adjudication of traffic safety-related laws to reduce fatal and serious injury crashes.

To increase occupant restraint use in all passenger vehicles and trucks.

Increase enforcement of occupant protection laws.
The enforcement program began 05/23 & continues through the Memorial Day Holiday weekend until Sunday, June 5, 2011.

The El Paso County Sheriff’s Office in March of 2001 was the first Sheriff’s Office in the State of Texas to be Internationally Accredited from CALEA and is now the recipient of the First CALEA Tri-Arc award in Texas (4th in the Nation) to have accreditations in: Law Enforcement, Communications, Training Academy
